In addition to operating its core pro bono effort, VLP contracts with two subgrantees to augment its services. These partners are the Legal Advocacy and Resource Center (LARC) and MetroWest Legal Services (MWLS) in Framingham.

LARC runs a hotline that assists 12,000 to 15,000 callers each year. The staff refers clients to appropriate legal service programs, including VLP, and provides advice when services are not available or necessary.

MWLS provides a full range of civil legal services in the MetroWest area. VLP supports its Private Bar Volunteer Program, a pro bono effort that engages local attorneys in representing clients and staffing an advice desk at family court.

Since 2002, VLP has enjoyed a very successful partnership with Senior Partners for Justice.
