This training covers practical aspects of filing a bankruptcy case. We will go over how to prepare and electronically file petitions, schedules, and creditor matrices using VLP's BestCase software. Attendees will receive a copy of the National Consumer Law Center's Bankruptcy Basics book.

This training is geared toward attorneys who are relatively new to bankruptcy but have had some introductory training. Participants must be admitted to U.S. District Court (or able to start the process soon), and they must be available to take a pro bono case through VLP soon.

VLP trainings are free of charge to active volunteers. Please see the VLP Training Policy.
