The broad scope of G.L. C. 93A, the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act, has made it one of the most widely used statues in Massachusetts civil litigation. This seminar covers the authority, procedure and practice strategies for successfully using this valuable cause of action.

Our expert panel guides you through the causes of action available under Chapter 93a. They explain the varying procedures, standars, defenses and remedies available; teach you the subtle nuances of Chapter 93a claims; and cover recent developments in the law

The principal focus of this program is bad faith insurance claims under G.L. c. 176D, which provides valuable guidance on the proper conduct of civil litigation involving insurance. There are significant penalties for those who do not follow the rules of Chapter 176D.
