Clients Seeking Legal Help
If you are low income and need legal assistance, contact the Legal Advocacy and Resource Center (LARC) hotline at (617) 603-1700, or call Greater Boston Legal Services at (617) 371-1234 and you will be connected to the hotline. You may need to wait to speak to a paralegal or lawyer. LARC staff provide advice and screen cases for VLP and other programs.
You will be asked where you live and what your income is. If you are not a United States citizen you will be asked about your immigration status because VLP's funding source limits the categories of immigrants VLP can serve. VLP cannot represent prisoners on any matter whether related to their incarceration or not. VLP does not handle criminal cases.
