Client seeks assistance investigating loan to prevent possible foreclosure
This case came to VLP after the client and her husband contacted the Attorney General’s office. They are a Boston couple with mortgage issues, seeking to prevent losing their home in a foreclosure. In 2005, the client and her husband refinanced their home. The clients were surprised when the payments were more than what they were told they would be. They have now been told they are only paying half of the interest and the rest is being added to the loan each month. They state that the nature and true cost of the loan was never disclosed, and they could not afford to pay the amount that is due each month.
