Letter from the Executive Director
Dear Friends,
We proudly dedicate this year's annual report to the marvelously successful Senior Partners for Justice. In the pages that follow you will read about the work of a few Senior Partner volunteers and you will be rightfully impressed. However, we cannot begin to tell the whole story in these few short pages. Senior Partners is the brainstorm of Judge Edward M. Ginsburg, retired, whose irrepressible efforts have made it a national model Our own Bostonian of the Year has personally recruited over two hundred attorneys to participate in the program. While many volunteers have actively practiced family law for much of their careers, others had never handled a divorce until their involvement with Senior Partners. Whether fully retired or still engaged in full-time practice, they are all now fully engaged in Senior Partners. The senior recruits have handled over 300 hundred complex family and other matters since the program's inception. That translates into thousands of dollars in child support awarded, hundreds of visitation and custody matters resolved, and families stabilized. It also translates into hundreds of hours of invaluable pro bono time, making justice a reality.
With this report we congratulate and thank Senior Partners for Justice for their magnificent undertaking. We are confident that we have witnessed only the beginning.
Mary M. Connolly
Executive Director
