Unemployment Insurance Appeals. VLP receives more than 200 unemployment insurance cases a year, with that number increasing because of the rise of the unemployment rate. Our volunteers represent workers who have been denied Unemployment benefits in administrative appeals at the Division of Unemployment Assistance. If you're interested in taking an unemployment case, please don't hesitate to contact us. We offer training, mentoring support and malpractice insurance coverage.
