Women's Economic Independence Project
The goal of this project is promote the economic independence of women leaving long-term marriages where there has been a great disparity between the spouses in income and earning capacity. Our client is generally the spouse who stayed home and took care of the children and the home, and is now not in a position to obtain marketable skills and be self-supporting. The opposing spouse usually still works, earns good money and has health insurance. There is sometimes a house and/or pension to divide.
